2018 Kingston Business Hall of Fame

Kingston, ON- Kingston Economic Development Corporation and the Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce annually induct local citizens into the Kingston Business Hall of Fame to recognize their outstanding contributions to our community. The 13th annual event will be held Tuesday, June 12 4pm-6:30pm at the Discovery Centre, Fort Henry.

The 2018 Business Hall of Fame honors recipients in the following categories: Visionary, Enabler, Mentor and Community Builder. This year the following individuals will be inducted for their contributions to the Kingston Community:

Visionary: Peter Dalton, Daltco Electric & Supply Ltd. & Dean Byrnes, Eikon Device Inc. Community

Builder: Irving Rosen (In Memoriam), Kimco Steel Sales Ltd. & The Garofalo Family, Garofalo Bros Construction Ltd.

Mentor: Shannon Claggett, School of Applied Science & Computing, St. Lawrence College

Enabler: Philip Koven (In Memoriam), Rosen Heating & Cooling & Richard Ward, Pure Ingenuity

Donna Gillespie, CEO of Kingston Economic Development Corporation, said the annual event is an opportunity to highlight the successes of Kingston’s business leaders, “We are fortunate in Kingston to have an excellent business community with great leadership. This event is a way to recognize them for their contributions and legacies.”

“As well as being great business leaders, our 2018 inductees have strong entrepreneurial spirit, and have made significant philanthropic contributions to our community. They are important role models for our society,” said Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce CEO, Martin Sherris.
