Shopify at Innovation Park

Kingston EcDev has partnered with local Shopify Guru, Carissa Cosgrove to provide monthly one-on-one sessions with individuals looking to explore Shopify as an e-commerce platform. Carissa provides support in areas ranging from platform training and development to presence at events.  Individual sessions will be offered on Wednesdays between 9:30am-3:00pm.

Queen's Career Apprenticeship: Kingston Celebration

In celebration of the Queen’s Career Apprenticeship: Kingston program, Kingston Economic Development Corporation and Queen’s University invite you to attend a reception recognizing the 2018 apprentices and employers. The event will also spotlight new graduates who will begin their apprenticeships in Kingston this spring. 

Come out and join the local businesses who support the program and are helping new graduates set their roots in the Kingston community on Thursday, May 9, from 4:00-6:00pm at SanTur Brewing Inc.  Remarks will begin at 4:30pm from Deputy Mayor Hill and the program founder, Alan Rottenberg.  We look forward to seeing you on May 9th!

 Are you interested in becoming an Entrepreneur? Well we have just the course for you. This course will teach you all about how to become an entrepreneur and how to start up your business plan, as well as show you how to create a Business Model Canvas that you can use to figure out what you want to do and who your trying to reach. This course will also give you some tips and advice, and community resources that you can use. By the end of this course you should be able to start working at creating your business and have answers to what is needed when starting.
