Infrastructure EnhancementsThe City of Kingston has identified a number of priority capital projects and has embarked on an aggressive development plan of new and upgraded infrastructure. 

In addition, Queen´s University and the University Hospitals Foundation are also undergoing tremendous growth and development.  Residents, visitors and business benefit greatly from these community investments. 

Recent Capital Projects

• $   5  million re-construction of Calvin Park Library
• $   6  million rejuvenation of historic Market Square
• $  17 million refurbishment of Kingston's Grand Theatre
• $  34 million development of 4-pad sport multiplex
• $  35 million construction of new Police Headquarters
• $  47 million downtown entertainment centre complete
• $  70 million in roads and sidewalk work underway
• $  80 million investment in waterfront living underway
• $115 million Ravensview water treatment centre upgrades underway
• $120 million in underground and roads infrastructure underway
• $230 million Queen's Centre project underway
