2015/2016 Kingston EcDev Review Committee
In response to the recent interest expressed in Kingston's economic development effort, Kingston EcDev will strike a Review Committee to provide an opportunity for the organization to look at itself and ensure Kingston EcDev is delivering services that are of value to the community and aligned with City of Kingston Strategic Priorities.
The Committee will provide a review of Kingston EcDev's governance and operations and offer a recommendation to the EcDev Board and City Council on how to best position Kingston's economy for future generations. This review will address organizational structure and capabilities to undertake, promote and fund economic development activities and Key Performance Indicators to gauge community and organizational success.
The Review Committee shall:
- Develop and oversee public consultation activities to solicit feedback through online mechanisms, public meetings, delegations, industry specific meetings and such
- Conduct a transparent review of Kingston EcDev in comparison with other EDOs
- Offer recommendations for implementation to the Kingston EcDev Board and City Council
The Review Committee is comprised of: four members of the public, two EcDev Board members (plus CEO), two City Councillors (plus CAO) and a contracted external resource knowledgeable in EDO's to provide support to the Committee (not a voting Committee member).

A Comparative Review of Economic Development Service Delivery Costs
Meeting Information:
The Review Committee will be meeting on a tri-weekly basis through to April 2016, with other meetings and working groups scheduled as required, where they will produce a report on economic development in Kingston.
All Committee meetings will be open to the public and the Committee is looking forward to hosting interested community delegations throughout the Review Process to discuss economic development issues. Communications from the Kingston community via letter and email are welcomed throughout the process.
All regularly scheduled meetings will be held at 4:00 PM at Innovation Park, 945 Princess Street.
